For those of us who never really got beyond the drunken sing-along anthem of that sha-la-la-la-la song (I think it was called 'Mr Jones'), this album from California's Counting Crows is a good point to re-connect with Adam Duritz and co. As their fifth studio album, it's a bit of a concept effort; divided into two sides: 'Saturday Nights' being the (better) rock part of the CD with six tunes that are all rather good and then the more country-influenced 'Sunday Mornings' - which is eight songs of more traditional CC-sounding stuff that is merely passable, with no one track standing out from all the rest. Still, if you are a fan of the band, you will totally want to add this to the collection.
