When three hotrodders on a recce scouring the country for traditional hotrod parts walked into a barn in a small Freestate town, they knew they had struck gold. This 1964 Valiant caught Barry Ashmole’s from the moment they entered, standing out amongst a number of other classics of considerably more monetary value – the owner had started a restoration by repainting the roof only, intending to work his way down.
